35mm Film

3D 35mm

In the 1980s the Nimslo 3D camera was put into production and stunned the world, then it flopped horrendously. The camera was able to create "3D" images using four different lenses and shutters at the same time. It was advertised as "accessible" because it used common 35mm film, which was popular at the time, but in reality was incredibly expensive because of the specialized lenticular printing that was required to get a 3D effect.
How it works:
Each of the 4 lenses fires a shot at the same time, with each picture taking up half a frame of photos on a normal 35mm roll. Afterward in photoshop I layer the pictures together, each from a slightly different angle, and create a mini video or gif that looks 3D!
