3D Printed Camera

I love many hobbies, two of my most prevalent right now are 3D printing and film photography. Last year I started a project to combine the two and build a 3D printed film camera. The entire camera is made out of plastic (except for the lense) and it takes stunning photos in 120mm medium format. The original files were designed by Dora Goodman, a maker working out of Budapest, who started the open source project (meaning all files are free and edit-able) a couple years back. The design is called the "Goodman Zone 1" and it has evolved over time as various people have developed and added to the design.
Building it was challenging as there are no instructions on what to do. Beyond the days of printing (and fails), I had to figure out how to make a plastic camera lightweight, and how to create a functional camera that could realistically be used outside.
So after lots of testing and months of prepping, I finally started taking photos with it. Using it takes longer than any other camera I have, but getting the stand out photos back from the developing lab is a feeling like no other. To know that you made a camera that can take such stunning photos is an amazing feeling.
